Follow Up

As they support mothers the Peer Counsellors are also provided with:
Support, information, encouragement and access to LLL support services through the PCP Administrators; Continuing education workshops and materials from LLL or other reliable sources; Where appropriate, support and guidance in techniques for setting up and operating a breastfeeding promotion project.
 
The Peer Counsellors are trained to be active for up to three years. After this time we feel they will need retraining or a refresher course. This also allows for the natural move on as children get older and other interests come up.
